Actress JENNIFER ANISTON was left distraught after discovering that a man broke into her luxurious Californian home.

The man -- identified as DAVID HESTERBEY -- was arrested yesterday when he entered Aniston's home through an unlocked door.

When spotted he reportedly told one of her employees that he was "looking for Jennifer." When another staff member confronted him, he panicked and fled the house, jumping a fence and running toward the beach where a chase ensued.

Police officers finally ran down the 48-year-old man down Malibu beach, where he was promptly arrested and charged with trespassing.

Last week, Aniston was forced to hire a team of security guards after learning her underwear had been stolen from the set of her new movie and sold online.

The "˜Friends' star was terrified after finding a pervert had broken into her trailer and made off with her bras and panties.

The items later appeared on the popular internet auction site, eBay.

Aniston's private movie quarters are now being guarded round-the-clock and it is alleged she is now considering increasing security at her home after the break-in.

Actress (and apparently singer now) PAMELA ANDERSON has recorded a duet with rock star BRYAN ADAMS.

The former 'Baywatch' beauty has teamed up with the rocker to record a version of Bryan's 1998 hit 'When You're Gone', which he originally sang with former Spice Girl MELANIE C.

A source revealed to Britain's Telegraph newspaper, "Bryan has just been in LA recording 'When You're Gone' with Pammy. They have been close for a while now and seemed really excited to have the chance to work with one another again."

The Canadian pair first worked together on Adams' photography book, 'Made In Canada'.

The singer photographed Anderson wearing nothing but a flag for the book, which raised funds for breast cancer charities.

Australian actor RUSSELL CROWE has finally reached a settlement with NESTOR ESTRADA - the New York hotel clerk he threw a telephone at - and it's a lot lower than the $15 million that was initially reported.

According to the New York Post, the Oscar-winning actor was arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court and agreed to pay Estrada $100,000 with "both sides [expressing] satisfaction at the resolution".

The soft-drink giant believes the bizarre rocker is the only musician with enough talent to write a track to rival the impact of "I'd Like To Buy the World a Coke," which became a huge hit since its 1971 ad campaign.

An advertising source claims, "Coke have been talking to Jack about getting him to write a new song and he's very interested.

POISON MEMBER CHARGED WITH ASSAULT

According to the New York Post, Poison guitarist CC DEVILLE has been arrested and charged in Los Angeles following a fight with an ex-girlfriend.

On Sunday, police officers arrested the rocker "“- real name BRUCE JOHANNESSON -- and charged him with felony corporal injury on a cohabitant for allegedly assaulting his former lover.

DeVille was taken to the LAPD Valley Jail in Van Nuys, California, and later released on bail. He is scheduled to appear in court to face the charges against him on September 12.

MISSING TEENAGE ACTRESS FOUND

Reuters reports, SCOUT TAYLOR-COMPTON, a 16-year-old actress who had been missing since August 12, was safely reunited with her parents Thursday.

"We received a tip from the Apple Valley School Police that she was at a house in Apple Valley," San Bernardino County Sheriff's spokeswoman told the newspaper. "We sent a deputy over there, picked her up and took her to the station."

The teenage actress had last been seen at her family's home in San Bernardino County. A spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said that Taylor-Compton hadn't been harmed, nor was there any evidence of criminal activity during her absence.

"She was a runaway juvenile. She just didn't want to be found," the spokeswoman said. "She hasn't been harmed at all and she appears to be fine."

Taylor-Compton has appeared in the feature film, "˜Sleepover' and "˜13 Going on 30' with JENNIFER GARNER, and on the popular TV series "˜Gilmore Girls'.

Troubled grudge rocker COURNEY LOVE has slammed reports she's expecting British comedian STEVE COOGAN's baby.

On Sunday, Britain's News of the World claimed Love had told the newspaper that she is pregnant after a two-week affair with the funnyman in Los Angeles.

The paper claimed Love had said, "Yes, I am pregnant with Steve's baby, but I'd rather not talk about our relationship."

However, Love released an official statement through her management company denying the pregnancy.

The statement says, "Courtney Love wishes to make it clear that she denies recent stories suggesting she is pregnant or has had a relationship with Steve Coogan.

"She confirms that she and Steve are good friends and have met a few times in Los Angeles."

Consequently, Coogan's spokesperson said, "He is astonished by this. It is ridiculous."
