Rapper 50 CENT is so scared of being murdered by his rivals that he's hired 100 bodyguards to protect him at all times.

According to the British Daily Star, the hip-hop star, real name CURTIS JACKSON, allegedly wears a bulletproof vest in bed and refuses to leave his Los Angeles or New York homes unless he's accompanied by his highly paid entourage.

50 is taking these extra safety measures because he fears a repeat of the notorious incident five years ago when a gunman shot him nine times.

He explains, "Because I'm from the bottom, I've got to take precautions."

In other 50 Cent news, the rapper just scooped up former heavyweight champion MIKE TYSON's Farmington, Connecticut mansion last year for a meager $4 million (it had been on the block for $24 million before the boxer had to sell it fast to settle pending debts).

Not only that, but 50 plans on spending about $5 million more to renovate the lavish pad. "[Tyson] decorated it ridiculously," our source says. "In every room - the 18 bedrooms, 38 bathrooms, the 3,500 square-foot disco dance floor and the 1,500-square-foot gym - were gold plaques that read: 'Team Tyson.' 50 has to get rid of all that. Everything else is garish."

We're told the rapper is in talks with fashion design company Louis Vuitton to "decorate" several rooms of the spread with the LV signature logo. "Louis Vuitton wants some money, but 50 is saying they'll get publicity for it, so they are discussing that now."

OLSEN TWINS SPLIT UP

Twin teen actresses MARY-KATE and ASHLEY OLSEN have decided to go their separate ways and live apart.

Pals of the 18-year-old double beauties tell America's Star magazine Mary-Kate will move out of their New York City apartment and into a spacious loft of her own.

A source says, "Mary-Kate and Ashley want to do the independent thing and live on their own. They're twins, and I think they just want to find their own identities. They don't want to be identified as the same person."

While the twins' representative insists there isn't a rift between the pair.

He explains, "They do a lot of things together and a lot of things individually. They're good friends; all this rift stuff is nonsense."

So much for that 'threesome with twins' fantasy!

WOMAN CLAIMS JACKO FATHERED HER TWINS

" The Insider" tv show reported that a 36-year-old woman claims she gave birth to twin boys planted by MICHAEL JACKSON and turned the infants over to the troubled pop star. But Jackson's publicist sneered at the claim.

" It's untrue. Completely," said the publicity agent, RAMONE BAIN.

Bain says Jackson is not the father of any babies with the woman, SHOLEH BOCCHELLI, and doesn't have possession of her baby boys.

Bocchelli, who public records show has used multiple names, offered no proof of any kind that she gave birth to twins or has ties to Jackson.

But she insists she became pregnant by in vitro fertilization and that Jackson is the biological dad.

The woman filed a confidential claim against Jackson in Los Angeles family court, reportedly seeking custody of the boys, ISAIAH and JEAN-PIERRE, who allegedly were born Nov. 26.

She also wants legal fees and pregnancy costs, according to "The Insider."

The woman said she was receiving $3,000 a month from Jackson until August, when the payments stopped.

Bocchelli claims that she met Jackson through the musical artist PRINCE in 1994.

For the record, Jackson, 46, has three children. Two of them - PRINCE MICHAEL and PARIS - were born to Jackson's ex-wife, DEBBIE ROWE.

His youngest, Prince MICHAEL 2nd, was adopted.

In fact, a nineteen-year-old British student DAVID VARDY appraised his innocence at 9,000 Euros ($11,000 US). The young man received seven thousand emails before the website administration canceled the bid. ROSIE REID, an 18-year-old first year student at Bristol agreed to have a sexual intercourse with a 44-year-old man, who paid her 8,400 pounds ($15,500 US) for the privilege to become the first man in the girl's life.

Hollywood star BRAD PITT reportedly attacked at a group of paparazzi that were stationed outside his Beverley Hills home by bombarding them with eggs.

Six carloads of photographers managed to spark rage in the actor, who is currently the center of attention following his recent split with wife JENNIFER ANISTON after four years of marriage.

The angry actor was so appalled at the sight of the intrusive photographers; he began launching eggs at them from his balcony. The BBC reports that he even caught one paparazzo on the side of the face.

SIMMONS SUED FOR SLANDER

A woman claiming to be the ex-girlfriend of KISS rock legend GENE SIMMONS is suing him for slander.

GEORGEANN WALSH WARD, filed suit Thursday in a New York court, alleging the rocker depicted her as a "sex-addicted nymphomaniac" on the VH1 documentary "When KISS Ruled the World."

Ward's photograph is shown 11 times in the program, alongside Simmons' voice, claiming he has had over 4,600 sexual partners.

In the documentary, which was screened last summer, Simmons said, "There wasn't a girl that was off limits, and I enjoyed every one of them.

" I was a 24-hour [bleep]. All I ever thought about was sex."

Ward's suit say her image being displayed alongside Simmons' comments, portrayed her as "wild" and "unchaste."

Court papers claim, "The implication was that Ward was a prostitute and/or solicited prostitutes, and/or she was a sexually loose woman."

The now 53-year-old WARD, says she was in "an exclusive, monogamous, romantic relationship" with Simmons for three years after meeting at a concert in October 1972.

Ward is asking for unspecified damages from Simmons and from VH1's parent company Viacom, for alleged defamation and invasion of privacy.

BRITNEY FUMES OVER HUSBAND'S EX'S SONG

Pop princess BRITNEY SPEARS was enraged after being branded a "wicked man-eater" in a forthcoming song by her husband KEVIN FEDERLINE's ex-girlfriend SHAR JACKSON.

Spears, 23, reportedly is not looking forward to the album release from Jackson's girl band MPULZ, which contains lyrics referring to Spears as a home wrecker.

Jackson was seven months pregnant with Federline's second child, son KALEB, when the backup dancer announced he was leaving her for Spears in April.

A source tells British newspaper the Daily Star Sunday, "She's mad as hell about this because she feels as though she's being portrayed as a wicked man-eater who's robbed a family of their dad."

Teen pop sensation JOJO was forced to quit school after classmates started being mean towards her once she became famous.

The 14-year-old singer found that as soon as she started to enjoy the rise of her career, a large number of her fellow pupils turned on her, prompting her parents to put her on home schooling in New Jersey.

But JoJo, real name JOANNA LEVESQUE, has turned the whole experience into something positive.

She explains, "I feel that going through hard times gave me something to write about."
