Britney's Still Popular, Ashlee Collapses

Pop princess BRITNEY SPEARS has topped Yahoo's annual list of the most searched for entertainment topic on the Internet -- despite taking most of the year off due to pregnancy.

Spears -- who has topped the list for three of the last four years –- only lost out to TV contest show "American Idol" in 2004.

The 24-year-old singer saw a peak in attention on September 14, when she and her dancer husband KEVIN FEDERLINE announced the birth of their son SEAN PRESTON.

Other artists such as 50 CENT, MARIAH CAREY, PARIS HILTON and the newly single singer JESSICA SIMPSON also proved popular in 2005.

In related news, private photos from Spears’ 2004 honeymoon with her husband are being sold on the popular auction website eBay.com.

Spears and her 27-year-old husband spent 10 days on Fiji's Turtle Island in October 2004 -- a month after their secret wedding in Studio City, California.

On Tuesday, a seller from Washington, offered "never seen" photos of Spears and Federline on the paradise isle, with a starting bid of $3,000.

The seller promises, "Very private photos of Britney and Kevin Federline on their honeymoon in Fiji. A true must have for Britney and Kevin fans. No photo copies, 80 real pics on CD," and includes a watermarked sample snap of the happy couple.

Bidding ends on Tuesday.

PLAYMATES ARRESTED IN FLIGHT

According to CBS4 News, Playboy playmates DANIELLE GAMBA, 23, and CARRIE MINTER, 22, were arrested when their plane landed in San Antonio, Texas Sunday.
The two playmates reportedly were intoxicated and unruly on a Frontier Airlines flight out of Denver. They were apparently so drunk on the plane that they were deemed a danger to themselves and others on the flight.

"There was some yelling and cussing," DAVID HEBERT, a spokesman for the San Antonio airport said. "They were charged with public intoxication."

Police reports the women were disruptive and fought with each other and other passengers during the 2 hour flight.

Minter, a former Playboy “Cyber Girl of the Week”, was apparently on her way from Denver to San Antonio for a lingerie show. Gamba, who said she loves to travel, is a former Oakland Raiders Cheerleader.

"One of the women started saying she was a celebrity and that's why the passenger who complained 'shouldn't mess with her,' and that sort of thing," Hebert said.
Authorities in San Antonio said it became even more bizarre after their arrest. Gamba reportedly may have tried another tactic to avoid being taken in.

"At one point he said one of the women made sexual advances toward both the primary officer and the officer who was there for backup," Hebert said.

The women, who spent five hours in custody before making bail, (unfortunately) did not have to pose for mug shots since they were each only charged with a misdemeanor.

ASHLEE COLLAPSES IN JAPAN

Pop singer ASHLEE SIMPSON may be forced to cancel her appearance at Monday's Radio Music Awards in Las Vegas after collapsing during a show in Japan on Thursday.

According to CNN, Simpson reportedly passed out in a backstage elevator after an MTV Japan performance in Tokyo, and is currently recovering in a nearby hospital. She had just performed her smash hit "Boyfriend" on the show when she told fans she wasn't feeling well, and walked off the stage.

Simpson's publicist has confirmed the incident, insisting the 21-year-old is expected to make a full recovery and is planning on returning home for Christmas.

Sources close to the singer claim she’s been suffering from exhaustion.

According to Contact Music, Latin diva JENNIFER LOPEZ's claim to live a clean-cut lifestyle has been called into question -- after she was recently spotted smoking a cigarette.

The singer-slash-actress has spoken about her decision to turn her back on unhealthy vices in a number of interviews.

She declared, "I don't smoke or drink. When I was little, my mother drummed it into me how bad it is for you, and it stuck somehow...”

However on December 6, after shooting scenes for her movie "El Cantante" in a New York City graveyard, the famous anti-smoker was photographed puffing away on cigarette.

Lopez -- who reportedly forced ex-fiancee BEN AFFLECK to give up smoking and drinking -- seemed to be sneaking a cigarette when she was caught on camera by fans who have sold the pictures to top tabloids.

But Lopez's publicists insist Lopez hasn't started the bad smoking habit -- she's just getting used to the herbal cigarettes her character has to smoke in the biopic of Hector Lavoe, which also stars her husband MARC ANTHONY.

A spokesman for Lopez insists, "It's not a real cigarette; it's a prop."

POSH YELLS AT OLD LADY

Former Spice Girl VICTORIA BECKHAM had a screaming match with an elderly actress who has been linked to her husband DAVID BECKHAM -- and warned the woman to leave him alone.

A fuming Victoria –- AKA Posh Spice -- is said to have branded 50-year-old ANA OBREGON "a piece of sh*t" after growing angry at Spanish media speculation surrounding the blonde actress lustful advances on her soccer star husband.

Victoria has been subjected to months of false rumors linking David and Obregon, who reportedly regularly frequents bars and restaurants the England captain is known to go to.

Sparks flew when Victoria and Obregon bumped into each other in a Madrid gym. A source tells the British Sun newspaper, "They were screaming at each other. It wasn't pretty. Luckily it didn't come to blows."

Other workout-witnesses told the Daily Mirror newspaper Victoria warned Obregon to stay away from David, saying, "Why would he be interested in an old lady like you? Leave my husband alone."

She also told the ageing Spanish TV star -- who was allegedly wearing a pair of pink satin hot pants with pink leg warmers -- to "go get some clothes on and act you age". Victoria's spokeswoman said, "We're not going to comment as it will only give this publicity-seeking woman even more exposure."

USA Today is reporting that celebrity socialites PARIS HILTON and KIMBERLY STEWART have topped a new People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) year-end Worst Dressed poll.

The blonde pals were named among the five worst fashion offenders dues to their "tacky affinity for fur".

PETA pokes fun at Hilton, who came in at number one, by joking, "Now we know what happens to all of Paris Hilton's cast-off pets!"

And the organization's activists blast ROD STEWART's daughter, joking, "What does Kimberly Stewart have in common with the remains of the animals who were killed for her furs? They're both spoiled rotten."

They added, "Kimberly and her best bud, Paris, are so clueless about animals that they should team up for a new reality show… The Simpletons."

STERN SPEAK OUT ON BRAD

World Entertainment News Network reports that radio personality HOWARD STERN believes actress ANGELINA JOLIE will soon consider moving on from her romance with BRAD PITT, because he believes the Hollywood actor is "a bore."

The "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" co-stars reportedly embarked on a romance earlier this year and their relationship is so serious that Pitt recently filed to legally adopt Jolie's two children, MADDOX and ZAHARA.

But Stern believes Jolie will soon grow tired of the 42-year-old star, who recently divorced "Friends" actress JENNIFER ANISTON.

Pop princess BRITNEY SPEARS has reportedly handed husband KEVIN FEDERLINE the keys to his Ferrari sports car.

According to People magazine, Spears sent the Ferrari back after a heated argument two weeks ago that resulted in Federline being banished from the couple's Malibu home.

A friend told publication that Spears was apparently overwhelmed with being a wife and new mother and blew up at her husband for no reason in particular.

However, as of Tuesday, the couple kissed and made up and are back home with their 3-month-old son.

"This has happened before," an insider told the magazine. "They always work it out."

But just six days after their reported reconciliation, In Touch Magazine warns that the Spears needs to watch her back because Federline wants $125 million if the pop singer tries to divorce him.

While partying with pals in Las Vegas during the week of Spears’s 24th birthday, Federline told a reporter that he has already consulted his lawyers and would demand a “$125 million” settlement if the marriage was to end. “I don’t like lawyers,” the aspiring rapper said as he was leaving the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on December 3. “But in this situation, I have to get protection."

Federline has even told pals that he’s been advised that the prenuptial agreement he signed is “not worth the paper it is written on.”

According to the Associated Press, COLIN FARRELL's publicist has announced that the hard-partying Irish actor is being treated for exhaustion and dependency on prescription medication.

It seems the star of the upcoming big-screen treatment of iconic 80s TV series ‘Miami Vice’, became overly fond of medication prescribed to him to help cope with pain from a back injury.

The treatment facility he checked into has not been identified.

The 29-year-old actor has also appeared in last year's "Alexander" and the 2002 thriller "Phone Booth."
