 Heigl and Knight Leaving Grey’s Anatomy
It has been a buzz for months now that Heigl and Knight are exiting the primetime medical drama series. The statement by Pickens Jr. added spark to the circulating rumors.
In a US Weekly interview, Pickens Jr. said he wishes Katherine the best wherever she decides to go. The ABC network said they could not validate anything yet. Heigl’s and Knight’s camps refused to issue their respective statements, as well. A US weekly source from the TV network said no decision has yet been finalized, so Pickens Jr. really could not be so sure. Sources working closely to the show’s production said it is improbable that the two stars will leave the show at the end of the show’s season five. Even if both actors have asked to resign, it would still be subject to ABC’s approval since their six-year contracts have not yet expired. Another insider said Pickens Jr. might have only been cornered by the reporters’ manner of conducting queries and may have not been fully aware of how he answered them. |
