Jessica Simpson Is Forgetful, Eddie Dumps Scary

The British Sun newspaper reports that former ‘Spice Girl’ MELANIE BROWN was stunned to learn that comedian EDDIE MURPHY was cheating on her with a gorgeous film producer.

While Mel B thought they were still together, the Sun reports that Murphy began cheating on the pregnant Spice Girl with TRACEY EDMONDS -- ex-wife of singer/songwriter KENNETH ‘BABYFACE’ EDMONDS.

The shocker came when 39-year-old Tracey revealed that she had been dating Murphy for the last “month and a half” -- long before Mel B - who is five months pregnant - found out she had been dumped.

Tracey was speaking at the premiere of her and Murphy’s new film ‘Dreamgirls’, which they went to together on Monday night. She confirmed the relationship, saying, “Yes, we’re very happy. We’re having fun.”

The news has come as a further blow to the 31-year-old pop singer -- who also learned earlier this week that Murphy is demanding a DNA test to prove he is NOT the father of her unborn child.

The 45-year-old funnyman said during an interview for a Dutch TV program that he wanted Mel B to take a test. When asked if he was happy with her, he angrily replied, “You’re being presumptuous, because we’re not together anymore. And I don’t know whose child that is, until it comes out and has a blood test. You shouldn’t jump to conclusions, sir.”

"The news that Eddie was asking for a paternity test was a bitter pill for Mel to swallow," a source said. "She wasn't even aware that she had been dumped. The news is a massive blow to her confidence and pride."

Mel B -- better known as ‘Scary Spice’ –- responded by saying that Murphy is definitely the father of her unborn baby. She added, "There's no question that Eddie is the father of my baby. I haven't been with anyone else since Eddie."

The former Spice Girl has reportedly vowed to get revenge on Murphy for demanding a paternity test. A source told the Sun newspaper, "Mel told me she is determined to take Eddie to the cleaners. He is going to get a shock if he thinks I'm taking this kind of treatment lying down. She is raging with anger and wants to take revenge on him for the way he is treating her. She met up with lawyers yesterday."

BRANGELINA PLAN FOR A CHRISTMAS WEDDING

The British Daily Mail and OK! Magazine both report that Hollywood megastars BRAD PITT and ANGELINA JOLIE are planning a Christmas wedding.

The couple are said have chosen a small village outside Johannesburg, South Africa to host the intimate nuptials.

A source tells the Daily Mail, "They are treating their marriage like a spiritual affirmation and don't need big Hollywood glitz like TOM CRUISE had in Italy."

The ceremony will include traditional African music and will be "simple and elegant", a close friend of the couple told OK! magazine. "They are so much in love. Brad and Angelina have waited a long time for this chapter in their lives to unfold."

Guests are expected to include top stars such as MADONNA and her husband GUY RITCHIE, GEORGE CLOONEY and new ‘James Bond’ star DANIEL CRAIG, as well as TV talkshow host OPRAH WINFREY, who suggested the African village where the ceremony may be held.

An insider said, "Ange is grateful to have a big sister in Oprah, a person who understands her fears of commitment but is also a kindred spirit."

The happy couple have a seven-month-old daughter, SHILOH NOUVEL, together and share custody of Angelina's two adoptive children, MADDOX, 5, and 23-month-old ZAHARA.

JESSICA SIMPSON IS FORGETFUL

The New York Post reports that popstar JESSICA SIMPSON ran into a little trouble at the Kennedy Center Honors on Sunday when she tried to sing “Nine to Five” in front of country legend DOLLY PARTON, one of the nights honorees.

Simpson reportedly forgot the lyrics to the song and was barely audible as she stood clueless on stage and then bolted off in tears. The crowd in attendance were so perplexed, they didn't even applaud when the song was over.

According to the publication, “[Jessica] Simpson frozeup at the Kennedy Center Honors Sunday night while singing "9 to 5" as part of a tribute to honoree Dolly Parton. During the song she flubbed some lines then uttered, "So nervous," before rushing off stage to no applause. She also appeared to be in tears when she and the other singers returned to the stage at the end.”

The less-than-stellar performance was all caught on tape, but CBS will most likely be editing out the embarrassing episode when it airs the show December 26.

In related news, TMZ reports that Jessica's mother TINA SIMPSON reportedly scolded her daughter in front of Dolly Parton and PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH after the popstar’s awful performance.

Reports suggest Mother Tina was furious with her daughter and told her she should quit the music business if she didn't want to put in the work.

According to tabloid website, Tina said her performance was "embarrassing" and "unprofessional." Simpson's mother was further incensed because Jessica had failed to make a dress rehearsal and hadn't bothered to learn the words to the song, instead relying on cue cards during the performance.

Meanwhile, Parton has more than forgiven the “Dukes of Hazzard” star for forgetting the lyrics and has invited the pop star to her home.

Showing a touch of class, the gracious singer politely applauded and smiled as Simpson apologized for botching her song. Parton admits she's glad it wasn't her up on stage on Sunday night, saying, "It is an intimidating experience... Jessica is so great that one day they will probably honor her. If I were fortunate to be asked to perform for her I would probably forget my wig. She can come over to my house and we will sing it together any time."

HOLLYWOOD PILL POPPERS?

According to In Touch Weekly, pop superstar BRITNEY SPEARS exposed her drugs while at a restroom in a Hollywood restaurant.

On November 27, Spears dined at Dan Tana's restaurant in West Hollywood - where she was also spotted carrying a glass of red wine out to her car before taking the wheel -- and during a visit to the powder room a fellow diner caught a glimpse inside her purse.

The source revealed, "It looked like a pharmacy in there - I have never seen so many pills. There was a bottle of Paxil (an antidepressant) and a bottle of Xanax (for anxiety) that she took out and put on the counter."

The directions for both these prescription drugs clearly state they should not be mixed with alcohol.

Meanwhile, the National Enquirer reports that actress LINDSAY LOHAN has been allegedly abusing the drug, Oxycontin.

Oxycontin is an expensive painkiller that can have same effect as morphine or heroin but with less risk of fatality.

The 20-year-old actress -- who recently began attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings -- has been mixing the potent painkiller with alcohol and cocaine.

A source told the publication, "I watched Lindsay Lohan snort cocaine and pop Oxycontin then wash it all down with vodka!"

The insider, who claims to be a member of Lohan's entourage and a close friend, say they are exposing her wild behavior in order to help the spiraling young star.

The source explained, "I've spent many drink and drug-fuelled nights with Lindsay. I'm only coming forward now because I want to save her life."

The ‘Mean Girls’ star - who has been spotted going into AA meetings and seen wearing a 90 days sober badge given out by the support group - recently slammed speculation she had experimented with drugs.

She firmly insisted, "I don't do drugs. That's something I would never do."

JENN AND VINCE SPLIT AFTER CHEATING ALLEGATIONS

Star Magazine reports that ‘Friends’ star JENNIFER ANISTON and VINCE VAUGHN have officially split.

Reports that the couple - who met on set of romantic comedy 'The Break-Up' shortly after Aniston separated from husband BRAD PITT – had decided to call time on their romance was confirmed by their representatives on Tuesday.

Both of the stars reps confirmed the mutual break-up saying they will remain friends.

However, Star reports that Vaughn may have been recently caught cheating on Aniston with a blonde college student in Budapest.

The publication has learned that on November 25, while dining at a local restaurant with two friends, Vince, 36, befriended three female students at a nearby table – including LAURA MALLORY LANE, a junior at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, who was on holiday while studying abroad in Rome.

The group proceeded to have a cocktail-fueled evening that ended with Vaughn and the 20 year-old Lane (who goes by her middle name Mallory) in bed together – all of it documented in an email entitled, "I shacked with Vince Vaughn" that Lane sent to 22 of her Gamma sorority sisters. Boy, these girls sure know how to keep a secret!

When the bars closed at 2am, Mallory wrote, the group ventured back to Vaughn’s hotel. "We felt so comfortable with them at this point," she wrote. "[Vince] was super nice and so funny."

Mallory wrote that when the group was ready to call it a night, Vaughn asked her to stay for another drink – which she gladly did. "We talked some more (and yes, we talked about Jen), and one thing led to another and obviously we were messing around before too long," Mallory wrote. "We didn’t have sex, but it was just as good. :)" Afterwards, the pair watched the sunrise from Vaughn’s "gigantic" bed.

Aniston apparently only found out a little while ago and this is allegedly the main reason for the split.

DICK DROPS THE N-BOMB

According to the TMZ website, comedian ANDY DICK pulled a ‘KKKramer’ moment over the past weekend when he hopped onstage at L.A.'s Improv comedy club and started throwing racial slurs. Dick was heckling comedian IAN BAGG when he allegedly got out of his seat, jumped onstage, and began joking with Bagg.

As he was exiting the stage, he grabbed the mic and shouted at the crowd, "You're all a bunch of n*ggers!"

The stunned crowd gasped and stared at each other. Bagg tried to play it cool and move on with his set, but the laughs just weren't there.

Dick has since tried to apologize for using the same racial slur that got ex-"Seinfeld" star MICHAEL RICHARDS in a lot of trouble last month.

The 40-year-old actor-comedian issued an apology through his publicist, saying, “I chose to make a joke about a subject that is not funny," said the statement, which was provided to the Los Angeles Times. "In an attempt to make light of a serious subject, I have offended a lot of people, and I am sorry for my insensitivity. I wish to apologize to Ian, to the club and its patrons and to anyone who was hurt or offended by my remark."

Meanwhile, comedian DAMON WAYANS was subjected to LA's Laugh Factory's new ban on the N-word.

According to TMZ, after the Michael Richards incident on November 17, the club decided to ban use of the derogatory word and fine comedians $20 for every offense. Wayans took the stage Sunday during a showcase of African-American comedians called "Chocolate Sundaes." Wayans opened his routine with the line, "Give yourselves a big round of applause for coming down and supporting 'N*gger Night.'"

According to the L.A. Times, Wayans used the word 15 more times during his 20-minute appearance. That's a $320 contribution to the Laugh Factory's swear jar. Wayans' rep had no further comment other than to confirm the fine and the temporary ban.

NICOLE DATING JOEL?

Us Weekly is reporting that NICOLE RICHIE and Good Charlotte's JOEL MADDEN have been dating.

Both stars recently went through very public break-up -- she with BRODY JENNER and DJ A.M. and he with singer HILARY DUFF. And now reports claim that both stars seem to be rebounding in each others' arms. I guess he has a thing for boney girls.

According to the publication, the pair have been secretly dating for a few weeks now.

Unlike his previous relationship with Duff - he's 27, she's 19 - Madden is only 2 years older than Richie.

On Saturday, December 2nd, the pair were spotted at hotspot Teddy's in Hollywood. "Nicole couldn't stop smiling," a club patron tells Us. Richie and Madden were seen dancing and holding hands.

"I've never seen her happier," adds the source.

The next night, December 3rd, Richie joined Madden for dinner at the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills with his brother, BENJI and his bro's girlfriend, Australian actress SOPHIE MONK.

With Joel's arm slung across the back of her seat, Richie snuggled in close and "was laughing throughout the meal," an onlooker revealed.

CELEBRITY TRAINER CAUGHT UP IN STABBING SCANDAL

According to the TMZ website, personal trainer-to-the-stars GUNNAR PETERSON has been caught up in a bizarre police investigation after a man was stabbed at his Hollywood home.

The famed fitness guru –- who’s trained stars including JENNIFER LOPEZ, NICK LACHEY and BROOKE BURKE –- claims he wasn't home when 23-year-old NICHOLAS MARINO was attacked by a security guard.

Sources tell the tabloid website that Marino was once romantically involved with Peterson's estranged wife, JANET CROWN PETERSON, and took their break-up badly.

Janet and her estranged husband obtained a restraining order against Marino, but the Marino refused to keep his distance.

When he came too close for comfort on Wednesday night, he was attacked by a security guard, stabbed and then taken to a Los Angeles hospital, where he was arrested for making criminal threats, stalking and burglary. He is currently being treated in intensive care.
