Lindsay's Stripping Injury, Hollywood Rumors

News of the World reports that actor MEL GIBSON was served with legal papers last week demanding a DNA test to determine if he is the father of a 29-year-old Australian woman.

Painter CARMEL SLOANE claims that the ‘Braveheart’ star had a one night stand in the back of a car with her mother MARILYN in 1976.

Marylyn, then 17, was hitchhiking to Sydney when a suave stranger picked her up in his station wagon. Marylyn, now 47, recalls her encounter with Gibson, "I was a slim young woman in tight-fitting jeans on the side of the road when a station wagon stopped. He told me his name was Mel. He said he would take me all the way but first he had to go home and get some petrol money. He made me hide under a blanket in the back of the car, saying something about his mother being in town. We stopped outside a house and he came out with a mattress and a couple of pillows and some petrol money. He said he had brought the mattress in case we had to stop for the night. We got on really well. He was charming and funny. He told me he was going to be a famous movie star… When we stopped for the night Mel got in the back on the mattress but I stayed in the front. I said I didn't trust him but to be honest I didn't trust myself either! He was so sexy. I didn't have any contraceptives with me and I hadn't had much to do with guys. Eventually, he persuaded me to join him in the back. I told him, ‘If anything happens and I get pregnant I'll come looking for you'. He replied, ‘I am going to be famous. You will always know where to find me.' We spent the night making love and talking. But when it got light Mel said he had to be back at work -- in an orange juice factory in Adelaide. I got out of the car and never saw him again. It broke my heart to walk away."

Carmel, 29, said, "I'm not doing it for his money. I just want to meet the man I've always known was my dad -- and for him to get to know his grandson."

Carmel also believes her 10-year-old son JORDAN bears a striking resemblance to the Hollywood star.

TRUMP TO MISS USA: “YOU’RE NOT FIRED”

The New York Daily News reports that MISS USA TARA CONNER -- who was under heavy media scrutiny amidst rumors of underage drinking and drug abuse -- will be allowed to keep her title.

Property mogul DONALD TRUMP –- who co-owns the Miss Universe Organization with NBC -- announced on Tuesday, "She[Conner]’s agreed to go into rehab. She knows that if she makes even the slightest mistake from here on, she will be immediately replaced. I believe she can do a tremendous service to young people."

Conner then took the stage and tearfully thanked Trump for the second chance, saying, “In no way did I think it would be possible for a second chance to be given to me. I've had a very big blessing bestowed on me. It truly takes someone with a wonderful heart, a heart of gold and a blessed soul."

"I've always been a believer in second chances," Trump said with the 20-year-old blonde beauty at his side.

"She left a small town in Kentucky and she was telling me that she got caught up in the whirlwind of New York," Trump explained.

"It's a story that has happened many times before to many women and many men who came to the Big Apple. They wanted their slice of the Big Apple and they found out it wasn't so easy."

Conner won the title in April and has been living in New York.

This wouldn't be the first time Trump had to deal with such a scenario. Back in 2002, Miss Russia OXANA FEDOROVA won the Miss Universe pageant but was shortly stripped of her title after violating her contract. Trump alleges that Fedorova failed to show up for some mandatory photo shoots and charity events. It was the first time a titleholder had been expelled in the pageant’s more than 50-year history.

However, Fedorova denied she was ever fired and claims she gave up the title voluntarily, mainly because she wanted to finish her law degree.

ROSIE VS THE DONALD

People Magazine reports that outspoken talkshow host ROSIE O’DONNELL had some blistering words for property mogul DONALD TRUMP on ‘The View’ Wednesday morning; calling him a "snake-oil salesman" following his announcement that he would not fire troubled Miss USA TARA CONNER.

O’Donnell reprimanded Trump, by saying “[Donald] left the first wife – had an affair. (He) had kids both times, but he’s the moral compass for 20-year-olds in America. Donald, sit and spin, my friend.” [She] impersonated Trump by deepening her voice pouting her lips and flipping her hair to one side. After repeatedly saying she “didn’t enjoy him,” Rosie discussed Trump’s finances – saying he went bankrupt, which Trump adamantly denies – and compared him to the “snake-oil salesman” on ‘Little House On The Prairie’ TV show. This is not a self-made man.”

After hearing about her comments, Trump fired back, calling her "a woman out of control" and saying he planned to sue O'Donnell over her statements questioning his financial status.

Trump angrily responded, “I think she’s just terrible. You can’t make false statements. I’ll most likely sue her for making those false statements – and it’ll be fun. Rosie’s a loser. A real loser. I look forward to taking lots of money from my nice fat little Rosie… I'm worth billions of dollars, and I have to listen to this fat slob?”

Trump also hit back hard in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, saying, "Rosie O'Donnell is disgusting, I mean, both inside and out." He goes on to say that "she talks like a truck driver" and calls her "a disaster."

FLINSTONES CREATOR DEAD

The New York Times reports that cartoon legend JOSEPH BARBERA has passed away.

One half of the Hanna-Barbera animation team, Joe and his partner BILL HANNAH produced such iconic cartoon characters as “Tom and Jerry”, “Yogi Bear”, “The Flintstones”, “Scooby-Doo”, “The Jetsons” and many more.

Warner Bros. Studios -- which acquired Hanna-Barbera in 1996 -- announced in a statement that Barbera died on Monday of natural causes at the well-lived age of 95. He is survived by his wife SHEILA and three children, JAYNE, NEAL, and LYNN.

HOLLYWOOD HOOK-UPS AND BREAK-UP RUMORS

JANET CHARLTON’s Hollywood Gossip website reports that actress SHARON STONE and CHRISTIAN SLATER are dating and plan on spending Christmas together.

Rumors claim that the pair have been romancing one another since meeting on the set of new movie 'Bobby'.

They have even attended several showbiz events together -- including the recent Dolce and Gabbana party at Los Angeles' Chateau Marmont Hotel at which they arrived arm-in-arm –- however, Stone’s rep claim that they are just good friends and has denied that they were ever an item.

But a source close to 48-year-old Stone has insisted they are dating, and claims the 'Basic Instinct' actress has invited Slater, 37, to her house for Christmas.

The source is quoted as saying, "They're both really happy - but they don't have long-term expectations. It's a fun fling for the holidays and Sharon is a good influence. She rarely drinks and has three kids. It's a good match for now."

Slater's divorce from ex-wife RYAN HADDON was finalized in November.

In another bizarre hook-up story, NW Magazine reports that KEVIN FEDERLINE and actress JENNIFER ANISTON got cozy in a New York bar last week –- then left together.

According to the publication, “At first, eyewitnesses at Citrus Bar & Grill were stunned to see BRITNEY SPEARS’ estranged husband Federline and Aniston talking to each other. But they were even more shocked when the pair started downing shots together -- and floored as the drunken couple staggered out.” Until I see photos of them smooching, I find this one very hard to believe.

In other hook-up news, the New York Post had reported that actor JOSH HARNETT and SCARLETT JOHNASSON have rekindled their romance with a brief make-out session last Friday. However, new reports claim that they are not back together and that Harnett was seen smooching with supermodel GISELE BUNDCHEN – LEONARDO DICAPRIO’s ex-grilfriend -- on Saturday at the Spotted Pig in the West Villager. “They were all over each other,” a spy revealed to the New York Post.

And according to British Daily Star, celebrity socialite PARIS HILTON has been telling friends about her plans on marrying on-and-off again boyfriend STAVROS NAIRCHOS and having her new best friend BRITNEY SPEARS as her maid of honor.

The blonde heiress pop star made the confession during an interview with the British newspaper. She happily announced, "It's true. I am going to get married. "I want a fairytale wedding and Britney's going to be my matron of honor. She can advise me."

Hilton and Spears have recently formed a close friendship and have frequently been spotted out partying together, since Spears split from husband KEVIN FEDERLINE in November.

In break-up news, the National Enquirer reports that PINK's marriage to motocross star CAREY HART may be trouble, after less than a year together.

The tattooed couple - who wed on the beaches of Costa Rica in January this year – have spent long stretches of time apart because of their hectic work commitments and the distance is said to be putting a strain on their marriage.

A source told the tabloid magazine, "Pink and Carey's marriage is in trouble. They're both crazy busy with their separate careers, and it's beginning to take a toll on their relationship. They're hardly ever together."

Pink - real name ALECIA MOORE - has been busy promoting her album 'I'm Not Dead', while 31-year-old Carey is a hugely successful motocross champion, runs a tattoo shop in Las Vegas and is looking to open up another body art parlor in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

The 27-year-old singer met her husband at the 2001 Summer XGames in Las Vegas and proposed to him during one of his races by holding up a sign reading, 'Will you marry me?'

In related news, Life & Style magazine says that the marriage of popstar CHRISTINA AGUILERA and music producer JORDAN BRATMAN may also be in trouble after just the first year. The two were married about 13 months ago, on November 19, 2005 in Napa Valley.

A source tells the publication, "The couple has been seen partying sans(without) wedding rings. On December 6, Christina left Hotel Plaza Athenee in Paris without her ring, she looked upset. Over the course of three nights, Jordon did the club scene with friends- also without his ring. He was looking sad and distressed."

LINDSAY INJURED WHILE STRIPPING
December 24, 2006 According to the New York Post, actress LINDSAY LOHAN was left battered and bruised after taking pole-dancing lessons.

The 'Mean Girls' stars has been getting strip-tease training in preparation for her role as a topless dancer in new movie 'I Know Who Killed Me', but has been finding the erotic work-outs grueling.

The troubled actress sent incoherent e-mails about her lessons to "pals" last week -- including people she had just met;

Lohan said:
"They're all whores, they're all whores... xcept for some obviously! So... Three hours of pole dancing and bruised. everywhere... I mean we're talkin' like, UPPER AND INNER THIGH ACTION-bruised... like a walking black-and-blue mark. Lohan faces five more weeks of bruised thighs while she completes the picture, but that hasn't stopped her from going out. She's gone to clubs in L.A. almost every night during shooting. But, much to her friends' and family's relief, she hasn't been drinking and has been making it to work on time.
