MSNBC reports that TV bounty hunter DUANE "DOG" CHAPMAN and two of his co-stars on the “Dog the Bounty Hunter” show were arrested on Thursday in Hawaii on charges of illegal detention and conspiracy.

Chapman -- who was shackled at his ankles and wearing a blue muscle T-shirt at his first court appearance Thursday -- said the U.S. government was jealous of his success in tracking down criminals. "You see what the American government is doing to us? They throw us in jail," Chapman said in a federal courtroom. "I'm so upset about this."

“GIRLS GONE WILD” FOUNDER GETS SUED

According to the New York Post, porn peddling king JOE FRANCIS is getting slapped with a lawsuit that will prevent him from using any more under-aged girls for his "Girls Gone Wild" video series. Francis and his companies, Mantra Films were charged by Federal Prosecutors for using girls under the legal age of 18.

Francis pleaded guilty in a Florida court yesterday for neglecting to record the names and ages of the often-drunk college girls who bared their private parts for the popular series in 2002 and 2003.

With the plea, Francis will be forced to pay $2.1 million in fines and must also hire an independent monitor to ensure future tapings feature adults and not under-aged teenagers.

For his plea, Francis avoids jail time and the federal charges against him will be dismissed in three years if he abides by the court order. Francis’ lawyer told the newspaper, "All this boils down to is a few record-keeping violations from 2002 and 2003, and two girls who lied about their ages and presented false ID. We're glad this is behind us."

Meanwhile, Francis is busy promoting his latest work "Girls Gone Wild - Ultimate Rush," which promises to reveal “America’s hottest girls doing the world’s most extreme sports.”

WHITNEY TO DIVORCE BOBBY?

Access Hollywood has learned from a source close to WHITNEY HOUSTON that the superstar diva has filed for a legal separation from her long-time husband BOBBY BROWN.

The source claims that legal documents were filed last Friday and that Brown was served with the papers on Tuesday.

Her reps announced, "It's a simple legal technicality. It starts out as a legal separation which automatically become a filing for divorce in October. It was her intent to file for divorce."

The troubled couple got married on July 18, 1992. They have been married for 14 years and have one daughter, BOBBI KRISTINA.

HASSELHOFF CLAIMS PRINCESS DI WANTED HIM

According to the FemaleFirst website, former ‘Baywatch’ star DAVID HASSELHOFF boasted that the late PRINCESS DIANA was "smitten" with him and that "sparks" flew between them when they met back in 1993.

Hasselhoff recently divorced his wife PAMELA BACH, 43, and insists that he and the royal British Princess, who tragically died in a 1997 Paris car crash, would have slept together "if circumstances had been different".

People Magazine reports that former Playboy pinup ANNA NICOLE SMITH celebrated the birth of her new baby girl on Thursday in the Bahamas -- only to mourn the lose her 20-year-old son DANIEL WAYNE SMITH there three days later on Sunday morning.

On her official website, it reads, "On Sept. 7 Anna Nicole gave birth to a healthy 6 lb.-9 oz. baby girl. Her son Daniel was in the Bahamas with her to share in the joy of his baby sister when he passed away suddenly on the morning of September 10. We have yet to learn the cause of death but do not believe that drugs or alcohol were a factor. Anna Nicole is absolutely devastated by the loss of her son. He was her pride and joy and an amazing human being. Please do not make any press inquiries at this time so that Anna Nicole can grieve in peace."

But new reports from the magazine claims that the death of Daniel was not due to natural causes. He was reportedly found sitting upright in a chair after going to see his mother and his new half-sister in the private Doctors Hospital in Nassau. Anna Nicole found him in this state and thought he was sleeping.

At first, many believed that he may have suffered a heart attack, but the island’s coroner has dismissed that. She believes, "The cause of death is not natural. However, we wish to reserve the cause of death at this time pending the toxicologist examination and report for confirmation of cause of death."

BRITNEY GIVES BIRTH TO SECOND BABY BOY

Is PARIS HILTON losing her star power? According to the New York Post, Hilton was banned from the Gramercy Park Hotel -- a New York hotspot run by club legend IAN SCHRAGER.

The newspaper reports that on Friday night, after partying at Marquee and consuming "lots" of vodka and pineapple juice, an intoxicated Hilton tried to join famous stars ORLANDO BLOOM, WINONA RYDER and JOSH LUCAS in the hotel's Rose Bar, but was immediately stopped by the bouncer due to Schrager's strict policy that "the likes of Paris Hilton and her ilk are not welcome here."

Hilton had further bad luck on Sunday night when she crashed a bash at actress MILLA JOVOVICH's home -– only to find out that the party was already over.

To makes matters worst for the Hilton, last Saturday, billionaire founder of Virgin Records, RICHARD BRANSON, threw an extravagant ‘Mad Hatter’-themed birthday party for his 21-year-old son SAM and invited the blonde socialite to attend.

According to the British Daily Mail, Hilton agreed and wanted to dress as Alice in Wonderland so she'd be the center of attention. But when Branson found out about this, he secretly ordered all 60 of his waitresses to dress as Alice, even pushing the prank further by deliberately mistaking her for one of the staff and asking her to get him a drink. Ouch!

The bash was attended by Britain’s A-lister, with such guests as PRINCE WILLIAM and HARRY and supermodel KATE MOSS.
