Ahhh...nudity. We all experience on a daily basis, but some folks take it to the next level. Nudism is more than just a personal choice, and for some it is a religion. The nudist lifestyle has expanded beyond a few nude beaches, and has become a rapidly growing vacation destination and life philosophy. Targeted for families, couples, and singles, nudist resorts, trips, cruises and more are popping up all over the world. So if you are interested in learning a little bit more, take a peak at what the nudist life has to offer.

One of the most important things you need to learn about nudism (sometimes referred to as naturism) is that it does not mean sex. People who forgo their clothing for a pure, free lifestyle do so because they want to be more natural, not because they are looking for more sex. In fact, flirting while nude can be awkward, especially if you are leering at her body. Most people like the unrestricted feeling they get when they are naked, and the relish the idea of being ‘natural’. After all, we were all born naked, and we are the only animals on the planet that cover up.

2. Bring your sun block! The odds are good you will be exposing some areas of your body that have never seen any sunshine, so you need to make sure you don’t end up with nasty burn on parts that shouldn’t ever burn.

3. Bug spray? Yes! Hey, if you are at a nudist resort, you don’t wear clothes that often. And since mosquitoes like to come out when it cools off, you might find you need to spray more than normal.

4. Try it before you buy it! For your first time, try somewhere that offers some privacy. That way if you feel shy, you can leave the beach, or nude area, and head back to the comfort of your room and your clothing.

5. Watch out for people you know! You might be shy the first time out, so go somewhere away from your home. You might feel really awkward running into a friend, family member, or coworker.

6. Bring a blanket or towel so you can cover up, just in case you start to feel intimidated. Plus, for sanitary reasons, you must use a towel when you are sitting naked on chairs, benches, and other public areas.

7. To get hard, or not to get hard…that is the question. You might think you are going to be running around with a perpetual hard-on, but you will get used to the nudity fairly quickly. If you have been to a beach in Europe, you know what we mean.

8. You must be nude. A lot of nudist resorts cost money so that gawkers stay away. If you don’t think you can ditch the clothing, then you shouldn’t go to a resort. Try something less strict your first time out – like a clothing optional beach.

9. Go with a trusted friend. If you are feeling shy and insecure, you might want to go with someone to help alleviate the stress.

10. No cameras and no binoculars.

Clothing Optional Beach - As we mentioned above, the clothing optional/nudist friendly beach is a great place to start. You can usually find them on the Internet, or check out nudist website to see where they all go. Some areas are better than others, and the nudists will point you in the right direction.

Nude Beach - A nude beach is one where you are expected to strip down. They are often privately owned, and you might be required to pay admission. Don’t go to this one until you are ready to be bare-naked.

Nudist Resorts - Designed specifically for the nudist, these resorts charge a fee to ensure that only people who are true believers come and stay. Some of these resorts focus on the family, while others focus on singles. More often than not, they are a combination of both. In any case, the idea here is to offer nudists a safe, legal environment where they can be naked without fear of persecution.

Nude Cruises - These are infrequent, so you might want to join a nudist group in order to keep abreast of any upcoming cruises. But they are exactly as they sound – all nude! Nudists Clubs - There are clubs all over the world, and they often share information about each other’s countries. This means you can get hooked up when you travel, so that you don’t have to scramble to find places where nudism is allowed. Just use the web to find an organization in your area.
